Andrew D. Nebenzahl

Andrew D. Nebenzahl founded the practice in January of 1983, immediately after being sworn in as a member of the Massachusetts Bar. Building on his work in the Massachusetts Senate and at the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission – the state agency dedicated to assisting disabled individuals to return to the workforce – his practice included representing individuals in social security disability claims, guardianship matters and small personal injury claims. As his practice and skill level grew, Mr. Nebenzahl began to accept more complex cases. His first jury trial was in 1986 in the Federal Court in Boston where he obtained a verdict on behalf of a woman who sustained injuries due to the malpractice of her dentist. His first defective products case involved a defective truck tire and rim which exploded causing his client a severe brain injury. After prevailing in a twelve-day jury trial in 1991and defeating appeals to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, Mr. Nebenzahl obtained a recovery of $925,000.00.

In the early 1990’s Mr. Nebenzahl’s expertise resulted in being called upon to handle complex medical malpractice and product defect cases outside of Massachusetts. As such, he has appeared in trial courts in Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Alabama and Kentucky.

In addition to his thirty-eight years of experience as a trial lawyer, he served as an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts Law School, he is the Editor of the Civil Practice Guide published by the Massachusetts Academy Of Trial Attorneys and is a member of its Board of Governors. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Attorney Information Exchange Group, past President of the Boston chapter of The American Inns of Court and a frequent lecturer on evidence and trial practice for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE).
